OUTRIGHT GIFTS
Gifts from members and friends provide vital resources that ensure the Museum's progress by funding its general operations and the development of educational programs and exhibits. We encourage your ongoing support of Longyear.

Tax-deductible Contributions
Longyear is a recognized charitable organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). All contributions to Longyear are fully tax-deductible.

Pledges
Committing to a dollar amount to be paid in full over the period of one to two years can be an advantage.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Through the generosity of many corporations, financial contributions you make to Longyear may be "matched" by a current or former employer, effectively increasing the amount of an original gift.

Stock Gifts
Gifts to Longyear of publicly traded appreciated corporate stock are a common method of supporting Longyear.

NAMED GIFTS
The Named Gifts program is an opportunity to express love and gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy and Christian Science. Donors may participate in these programs for themselves or by naming others whose lives have also been touched by Mrs. Eddy's discovery.

PLANNED GIFTS
Many donors have found planned giving to be a meaningful way to support Longyear. Charitable bequests, charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts may be funded with cash, stock, real estate or other assets.

The financial benefits from these gifts include the provision of an ongoing income for the balance of the donor's and/or beneficiary's lifetime, the possible bypass of capital gains taxes and a charitable income tax deduction for having made the gift.

Charitable Bequest
One way of establishing a planned gift to benefit Longyear is by making a provision in one's will or living trust.

Charitable Gift Annuity
The Charitable Gift Annuity is a simple agreement between a donor and the Museum. The donor agrees to make a gift of cash or stock, and in return Longyear agrees to pay the donor a fixed amount of income each year for the balance of the lifetime of the designated beneficiary.

Charitable Remainder Trusts
The most flexible planned giving program is the Charitable Remainder Trust, which can be tailored to meet a wide variety of estate planning objectives.

If you would like more information on planned giving please contact the Director of Development, John Mitchell at 1-800-277-8943 ext. 230, or contact him via .

HISTORICAL COLLECTION GIFTS

Historical Artifacts, Books, Documents, Photographs
There are many ways Longyear Museum's collection can be enhanced. We encourage our members and friends to keep an eye out for items that pertain to Mary Baker Eddy, her students or early workers.
