7:00pm - 9:00pm
In 2006, Longyear purchased Mary Baker Eddy’s former residence in Lynn, Massachusetts. During the past three years, museum staff have worked closely with preservation specialists, architects, and landscape historians to better understand the home where Mrs. Eddy lived from 1875 to 1882, and where she laid many of the foundations of the Christian Science movement.
Thanks to generous donations from Museum members and a Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund grant, the funding is now available to begin the exterior restoration of the house this spring. Longyear members and their guests are invited to learn more about this important project from Preservation Architect Gary Wolf and the Longyear staff.
