You and your guests are cordially invited to learn more about Longyear Museum’s 2010 exterior restoration of the Mary Baker Eddy Historic House in Lynn, Massachusetts, and other significant projects.
In late 2006, Longyear purchased Mary Baker Eddy’s former residence in Lynn, Massachusetts. During the past three years, Museum staff have worked closely with preservation specialists, architects, and landscape historians to better understand the home where Mrs. Eddy lived from 1875 to 1882, and where she laid the foundations of the Christian Science movement.
Thanks to generous donations from Museum members and friends from around the globe, and a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund, the funding is in place to begin Phase One of the exterior restoration of the Lynn house. Please join us to learn more about this project and other important Longyear activities from Trustee V. Ellen Williams and Director of Development John Mitchell.
