Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses

In the 1920's, Mrs. Longyear began to search for some of the houses that were former residences of Mrs. Eddy's. Mrs. Longyear felt that each house revealed a part of Mrs. Eddy's spiritual journey and thus it was important that they be preserved before they were forgotten, allowed to decay, or torn down. In all, she collected and restored four houses. Two other houses, in Stoughton, MA, and Concord, NH, were added to the Longyear collection in recent years. In 2006 Longyear purchased Mrs. Eddy's former home in Lynn, MA and Mrs. Eddy's last home in Chestnut Hill, MA. Read More >>
