Members' Vault: Remember the Days of Old: Preserving the History of Christian Science

June 7, 2010

Filmed at Longyear Museum and at six of the historic houses where Mary Baker Eddy once lived, Remember the Days of Old: Preserving the History of Christian Science includes rarely seen historic photos, artifacts from the Museum’s collection, and dramatic vignettes.

The film tells the story of Mary Beecher Longyear’s work in the early 1900s to found a museum dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of Mrs. Eddy. The story of the Discoverer of Christian Science unfolds against the backdrop of the historic houses.

This film was written and produced by Longyear Museum and released in 2006. It was made before Longyear purchased the Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses in Lynn and Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. We plan to update the film to include these houses when funding becomes available.

We are happy to share this film with our members through the Vault.
