Members' Vault: Video History of Mary Baker Eddy

This online video gives Longyear members the opportunity to view the film that welcomes visitors to the Museum, in the Cobb Theater. This 12-minute video is a brief introduction to Mrs. Eddy's life and work, including:

her search for health throughout her years of illness, culminating in the pivotal events of 1866 that ushered in her discovery of Christian Science
her years of healing, writing, teaching and preaching, including her writing of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures
the active years at her home, Pleasant View, in Concord, New Hampshire, (1892-1908) during which she reorganized The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and wrote its Church Manual
challenges to her authority, such as the Next Friends lawsuit in 1907.
