Now I lay me down to sleep,
I know that God His child will keep;
I know that God - my Life - is nigh;
I live in Him, I cannot die.

God is my health, I can't be sick;
God is my strength - unfailing - quick;
God is my all: I know no fear
Since Life and Truth and Love are here.

MORNING

Now I awake and see the light -
God has kept me through the night.
Our Shepherd faithful watch doth keep
When we wake or when we sleep.

He will guide me all the day
In my work and in my play:
In His arms I have no fear
Since Love protects and governs here.
