**NEW** Weekend Visitor Services Representative
Longyear Museum is accepting applications for the part-time position of Weekend Visitor Services Representative. The Visitor Services team is the first point of contact for visitors to the Museum and provides information about the Museum, the exhibits, and the Daycroft Library, and offers assistance to guests throughout their stay. The position is also responsible for in-person and telephone weekend sales in the Longyear Museum Store. Additional duties include assisting with all Longyear and community events on the weekends. Strong communication and organizational skills required. A candidate for this position must be available for a Saturday (all day) and Sunday (afternoon only) schedule and prior cash register or retail experience is a plus. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, is required. Christian Science class instruction is preferred.

**NEW** Media Projects Technician
Longyear Museum seeks a full-time Media Projects Technician to assist in its video, audio and graphics programs. This position is responsible for a wide range of tasks that include: photographing and filming events at the Museum and its eight historic houses; finding and creating photographic images for publication; maintaining the museum’s historic-photo database; and creating short videos for its website. The Media Projects Technician works closely with the Media Producer/Director and the Publications and Historic Collections teams. Previous experience as a sound technician is a plus. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist is required. Christian Science class instruction is preferred.

**NEW** Facilities Specialist
Longyear Museum is now accepting applications for a full-time Facilities Specialist. The Facilities Specialist is based out of the Museum offices in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, but travels to all eight historic houses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire to complete carpentry, painting, and minor plaster repairs as needed. Additionally, the Facilities Specialist will plan and oversee a wide range of projects requiring a working knowledge of the trades including, carpentry, painting, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, masonry and electrical. The Facilities Specialist will also assist with snow removal, grounds care, and landscaping. This individual must be dependable, have attention to detail, be able to multi-task, and have good communication skills. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist is required. 

Visitor Services Representative
Longyear Museum is accepting applications for the full-time position of Visitor Services Representative. The Visitor Services team is the first point of contact for visitors to the Museum and provides information about the Museum, the exhibits, and the Daycroft Library, and offers assistance to guests throughout their stay. The position is also responsible for in-person and telephone weekend sales in the Museum Store. Additional duties include assisting with all Longyear and community events on the weekends, as well as serving on the store product development team. Strong communication and organizational skills required. A candidate for this position must be available for a permanent Thursday through Monday schedule (Sundays are afternoon only) and have prior cash register or retail experience. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, is required. Christian Science class instruction is preferred.

Swampscott and Lynn Historic House Site Manager
A full-time Historic House Site Manager is needed for the care and maintenance of the Longyear Museum Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses located in Swampscott and Lynn, Massachusetts. The Historic House Site Manager lives in the house in Swampscott, while also caring for the Lynn property. Job responsibilities include giving tours, cleaning, gardening, and light maintenance at both properties. The Historic House Site Manager is also the main point of contact for Longyear in these two communities. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Christian Science class instruction is required.

North Groton and Rumney Historic House Site Manager
A full-time Historic House Site Manager is needed for the care and maintenance of the Longyear Museum Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses located in North Groton and Rumney, New Hampshire. The Historic House Site Manager lives in the house in Rumney, while also caring for the North Groton property. Job responsibilities include giving tours, cleaning, gardening, and light maintenance at both properties. The Historic House Site Manager is also the main point of contact for Longyear in these two communities. Membership in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Christian Science class instruction is required.

Seasonal Guides
On-call and part-time seasonal guides are needed for all eight of Longyear Museum’s Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Guide training will start in April for the 2017 Historic Houses season from May – October. The guide will conduct tours and assist with daily Historic House operations including tour admission, house museum shop, bookkeeping, light cleaning, and opening and closing the historic house. Applicants should have an interest in the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy as the Discoverer, Founder, and Leader of Christian Science. Strong communication skills and basic computer skills are a must. Availability to work some weekends and a flexible schedule are a plus. Mother Church membership is required.
