Sign Up for Fall Tour 2018

October 30, 2017

Just over a month ago, nearly 70 guests took part in Longyear’s two Fall Tours of Mary Baker Eddy’s New England. The autumn colors may have been in hiding, but both trips were successful, full of new insights, plenty of laughter, and perhaps one too many cider donuts. For the Museum staff, even more gratifying than leading the tours is hearing how visiting these historic sites contributes to a deeper understanding of the life and work of Mary Baker Eddy.

One of this year’s participants put it this way:

Gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges Mary Baker Eddy faced/worked through, prior and leading up to her healing and discovery at Swampscott, was of the most significance to me. It helped me put my own “trials and tribulations” into perspective and demand of myself that I grow up and be more consecrated in my prayer and study and give more of myself to God.

We’re already looking forward to next year!
