Adding a Name to the Pleasant View Walk

January 30, 2017

Living Stones make up the
Pleasant View Walk.
Located on Longyear Museum’s grounds, the Pleasant View Walk is a favorite destination for visitors. Strolling along the path under the stone gate and past the summerhouse and fountain that once graced Mrs. Eddy’s homestead in Concord, New Hampshire, a closer look downward reveals bricks engraved with the names of Christian Scientists.

Over the years, the names of over 4,000 individuals, family members, friends, Christian Science practitioners, Christian Science teachers and associations, church members, Sunday School teachers, students, and others, have been added to the “Living Stones” in this pathway. Each brick is available for a contribution of $200, and represents a unique way both to honor a loved one and help support Longyear Museum’s mission.

Won’t you consider adding a Living Stone to the Pleasant View Walk today? Orders received by Friday, March 10, will be added to the walkway this spring. Bricks ordered after March 10 will be added in spring 2018. A photograph of the engraved brick will be sent to you once it’s installed — and, if desired, to the individual you’ve chosen to recognize.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of this special and meaningful gift. For more information, or to purchase a Living Stone, please call 800.277.8943, ext. 231, or visit our website for details. Then, please make plans to come find your Living Stone this spring.
