A Home for Spike: Read-Aloud With the Author

Saturday, February 24

11 A.M. EST

Join us for story time with author Heather Vogel Frederick, who will read aloud from A Home for Spike, Longyear’s new picture book for children.

Inspired by the true story of a squirrel befriended by Mary Baker Eddy’s Chestnut Hill staff, this heartwarming tale blends fact with fiction as it offers young readers a glimpse of daily life at 400 Beacon Street.

If you have a Spike plush toy, feel free to bring her along! The more squirrels the merrier!

This program is designed for children ages 2 and up, but all are welcome.

If you’d like to purchase a copy of the book or you’d like a soft Spike toy of your own, please visit the Museum store.

Please contact us at letters@longyear.org if you have any questions regarding the program.
