For Researchers

Longyear Museum welcomes research inquiries. Our staff can help you find answers about Mary Baker Eddy’s history and the pioneers of Christian Science. You are also welcome to visit our research library and view materials from our collection. We ask that you submit your scheduling request at least two weeks prior to your planned arrival, to allow our staff time for appropriate review and preparation for your visit. Research services

Please use the research request form below to send us your questions. It may take several weeks for us to respond, but if you have a deadline, please let us know and we will do our best to meet it. If the request will take more than one hour of staff time to fulfill, we will be in touch so that you can choose whether to proceed and pay the fees as listed below. We look forward to helping you!

Fees for Research Assistance:

First hour of staff research time: Free
After first hour: $40/hour ($25/hour for members)

Please use the form below to request permission to use Longyear photos for publication or presentation. Permissions are granted for a non-exclusive, one-time use only. Additional uses, revisions, reprints, and editions require additional approval and permission-to-use fees. Please note that it may take us a few days to confirm that we own the image and that we have a high-resolution version available to share. We look forward to helping you!
