Two Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses selected as “Where Women Made History” sites

Longyear Museum is pleased to announce that two of the Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses, 8 Broad Street in Lynn, Massachusetts, and 400 Beacon Street in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, have both been selected as National Trust for Historic Preservation’s “Where Women Made History” sites.

Last year, in celebration of the centennial of women gaining the right to vote in the United States, the National Trust called for submissions to this campaign, an effort to identify and highlight 1,000+ significant places that help tell a fuller American story. Both 8 Broad Street and 400 Beacon Street were submitted, and both are now listed on the National Trust website. This is a well-deserved recognition of Mary Baker Eddy’s contributions to this nation’s history.
