A Summer Open House at the Museum

Join us on Thursday, July 12, 6 – 8 pm for an evening program at the Museum to learn more about life at 400 Beacon Street, Mary Baker Eddy’s final residence in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Longyear members and friends will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear a talk by Longyear staff member Heather Vogel Frederick about daily life at 400 Beacon Street (6:30 & 7:15)
  • Visit special stations to see rare artifacts from the 400 Beacon Street collection
  • Watch an excerpt from the Longyear film Follow and Rejoice to learn more about the founding of The Christian Science Monitor
  • View a 19th-century ice cream making demonstration (and enjoy samples!)
