Annual Meeting Weekend

Early June brings an abundance of visitors to Boston for the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and it’s always a delight to greet Longyear members and friends from many parts of the world. This year, those who stopped in for a visit were treated to an array of special programs at the Museum and tours at several of the Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses.

Here at the Museum, guests had the opportunity to view a number of rare artifacts from the 400 Beacon Street collection, including a fabric swatchbook belonging to Nellie Eveleth, Mrs. Eddy’s seamstress. They also learned how ice cream (a favorite treat of Mrs. Eddy’s) was made in the 19th century – and enjoyed samples!
