Visit the Mary Baker Eddy Historic Houses

In addition to the Museum exhibits and galleries, Longyear also maintains eight houses in which Mrs. Eddy once lived. Each house marks a stage of Mrs. Eddy’s life, from the struggles of her earlier New Hampshire years, to her discovery of Christian Science, to the years of accomplishment represented by her home in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Her story is rekindled as you cross each threshold to stand in the very rooms where she lived and worked. For all our visitors, these landmarks help bring the 19th and early 20th centuries to life and illuminate the history of one of the most noted women of her day in America. Longyear Museum invites you to experience these historic sites for yourself.
