Join us for Family Day on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026 from 12 P.M.–4 P.M. at 400 Beacon Street, Mary Baker Eddy’s final residence in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. All ages are welcome to this day of family fun! The event is free and so is the food truck that will provide grilled cheese sandwiches for attendees. Mrs. Eddy and her household moved into 400 Beacon Street in 1908. More than a private residence, it served as the executive headquarters of the Christian Science movement from 1908 to 1910. As such, it was both home and workplace to the approximately 20 men and women who worked alongside Mrs. Eddy. Come explore the house and grounds!
We will have a variety of family-oriented activities:
- Join a 30-minute kid-friendly house tour.
- Take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
- Explore our recently restored carriage house.
- Enjoy listening to A Home for Spike while making a craft.
- Play period games on the front lawn.
- Make your own butter in the historic kitchen.
